The Territorial Impact Report (TIR)
The Territorial Impact Report is a SaaS solution representing the impact of a company's economic, social, fiscal, environmental and local activity in Belgium and Europe.
All these indicators are available on the scale of municipalities, departments and regions in European countries.
Let's look at these 5 pillars in detail:
- Economic impact: all indicators linked to supplier expenditure, household consumption and the added value generated by a company's activity.
- Social impact: the number of direct jobs (those of the company), indirect jobs (those generated by supplier spending) and induced jobs (those generated by household consumption).
- Fiscal impact: the amount of taxes, levies, similar payments and income tax generated directly (by the company), indirectly (by supplier spending) and indirectly (by household consumption).
- Environmental impact: this is the impact in CO2e (CO2 equivalent) generated in Scope 1 (direct CO2 emissions produced by the company), Scope 2 (indirect emissions linked to energy, but which do not occur directly on the company's site) and Scope 3 (indirect emissions which are not under the company's control, typically from its suppliers). For this, we use the ADEME financial ratios, which are ideal for an initial measurement and discovery of the company's carbon impact.
- Local impact: all the indicators mentioned above at the level of communes, départements, regions of European countries, as well as at the kilometre level for a relative approach.
For example, this can be used to construct the following statement: "80% of my expenses are incurred within 200km of my factory vs. 80% of my expenses are incurred in Brussels".
The most common use cases we encounter with our customers are as follows:
- Institutional marketing: to feed communications, extra-financial reports or local influence to prove the territorial anchorage of a company's activity to an elected official, prefect etc...
- Commercial: to transform the act of buying into an act of activism by showing the territorial impact of their consumption (signing this quote will generate X jobs, Y taxes within 80km of your home).
- Employer branding: to attract talent sensitive to these new issues.
The platform also makes it possible to monitor all a company's suppliers in France, thanks to certified data. The report is produced from your accounting and product data in 72 hours, in complete autonomy, from €4,750 / year.
